✅ Step-by-step guide

Step 1: Register and Log In

Register to become a Tiny Tots seller and pay the non-refundable seller registration fee.

After registering, log in to the Seller Portal using your seller number and password. You can continue using the same seller number and password for future sales.

When entering inventory, you may choose whether each unsold item should be donated. Items selected for donation will display a “D” on the printed tag.

Seller registration fees are non-refundable, including if you register but do not participate in the sale.

Step 2: Sort Your Items

Before entering inventory, organize clothing by gender and size.

Group other merchandise by category, such as:

  • Shoes and accessories

  • Toys and crafts

  • Games and puzzles

  • Books and DVDs

  • Baby equipment

  • Furniture and outdoor items

Sorting first will make entering inventory, tagging, packing, and drop-off much easier.

Step 3: Open Your Inventory

Log in to the Seller Portal and select:

Work With My Consigned Items

From there, you can begin adding merchandise to your inventory.

Step 4: Enter Each Item

For every item:

  1. Select the appropriate category.

  2. Select the correct size, when applicable.

  3. Write a clear, descriptive item description.

  4. Enter the price in $0.50 increments.

  5. Choose whether the item may be discounted.

  6. Choose whether the item should be donated if unsold.

  7. Click Submit Item.

Description Tips

Use enough detail to identify the item if the tag becomes separated.

Good: Pink Carter’s floral two-piece pajama set
Not enough detail: Shirt

Pricing Tips

Most items sell best when priced at approximately 25–33% of their original retail value.

Consider:

  • Brand

  • Age

  • Condition

  • Original retail price

  • Current demand

  • Whether the item is new with tags

  • What you would realistically pay for it secondhand

Like-new and premium items may be priced higher. Older or more well-loved items should be priced lower.

Discounting

Select the discount option if you would like the item to be eligible for the designated 50% Off Sale.

Discount-eligible items will display a red star on the printed tag.

Items marked “No Discount” should be distinctive and competitively priced.

Donating

Select the donation option if you would like an unsold item donated after the sale.

Donation-selected items will display a “D” on the printed tag.

Step 5: Print Your Tags

When your inventory is ready, select one of the Print Tags options in the Seller Portal.

Printing requirements:

  • Use white or very light cardstock.

  • Print six tags per page.

  • Print at full size.

  • Keep the reverse side of each tag blank.

  • Use dark ink so barcodes scan clearly.

  • Do not shrink or resize tags.

  • Do not print on both sides.

Make sure your printer has adequate ink and that every barcode is crisp and readable.

Step 6: Make Any Corrections

Do not handwrite changes to a printed tag.

If you need to change an item’s price, description, discount status, donation status, update the item in the Seller Portal and print a new tag.

Remove the old tag before attaching the replacement. Tag information cannot be changed after the item has been checked into the sale.

Step 7: Cut and Attach Your Tags

Cut apart the printed tags and securely attach one tag to each item.

Use:

  • Safety pins for clothing

  • Blue painter’s tape for books and delicate surfaces

  • Packing tape for durable surfaces and bags

  • Zip ties for shoes, equipment, and large items

  • String or ribbon where appropriate

Never use straight pins. Do not place tape over the barcode. Tiny Tots cannot sell an item if its tag is missing or unreadable.

Step 8: Pack for Drop-Off

Pack like items together and organize your vehicle by category.

Before leaving home:

  • Sort clothing by gender and size.

  • Group non-clothing merchandise by category.

  • Confirm that all tags are secure.

  • Test battery-operated items.

  • Assemble large furniture and equipment.

  • Bring required tools and hardware.

  • Confirm that every item is clean, complete, safe, and in season.

Then you’re ready for drop-off—and one step closer to clearing space and earning your eCheck.
